P2 - Campaign Plan

In my campaign plan I am going to be creating 3 forms of advertisements for the new sixth form College @ Deyes. These adverts will consist of an audio advert which can be featured on poplar music streaming apps such as Spotify or on the local radio station. Spotify would be a very effective platform to advertise the sixth form on as the app can find the users location so only people from in and around Liverpool will view it so the audience will be relevant as they live local to the college. Spotify is also a very popular app especially for teenagers including those who fit into the category of looking for somewhere to go after high school. Radio advertisements on local radio stations would also be good as most people listen to the radio on a daily basis in their cars and frequent advert breaks will be a good opportunity to inform the locals about the new college at deyes. The advert will include a voice narrating with a very positive tone about what the school has to offer. This will include the past year’s exam results, a quote and voice of a past student who has gone on to be a huge success and also including the open day dates and website name. The past exam results and a quote from an ex-student will make people aware of the college’s high success rate and may persuade students to join the sixth form college. Also the website name at the end of the advert will give listeners a chance to learn more about the college if they were to search it up on the internet.

The 2^nd advert I am going to create will be an Instagram account with posts including information and pictures about the college. I have chosen this method of advertising because it is arguably the most popular form of social media for teenagers in the age group of 14-16. The audience can be wide as anyone can view this page as the account will be made un-private.

Finally, for the audio-visual advert I will record certain things around the sixth form such as students in the common room, students working in the classrooms and showing the new sixth form building and facilities. I will ensure I include information about the colleges speciality subjects, including the brand new Maths centre on site. I will include successful past exam grades in the video to try and persuade students to come to the college and do well by proving that our exam grades our high. Legally I will have to ask for permission from the sixth form head teacher for this and also ask for permission from anyone who features in the video. I will ensure they sign on paper for their consent of being in the video instead of just filming students who may not want to be filmed without permission. At the end of the video I will include contact details of the college including the website name, email and phone number in case anyone who views it wants to make any queries and hopefully to sign up to join the school.
